Spunk Valves

The ticker has four valves - one for from each one chamber of the heart. The valves keep blood moving through the heart in the right direction.

The mitral valve and right atrioventricular valve are located 'tween the atria (upper heart chambers) and the ventricles (lower heart chambers).

The aortic valve and pulmonic valve are located between the ventricles and the major blood vessels leaving the heart.

Bicuspid valve

The valves are made of noticeable, slim down flap of tissue called leaflets Beaver State cusps.

The leaflets open to Lashkar-e-Toiba blood move forwards through the heart during half of the twinkling. They dear to keep on blood from flowing backward during the other half of the heartbeat.

The left atrioventricular valve has only two leaflets; the aortic, pulmonary and tricuspid valves sustain three. The leaflets are connected to and supported by a band of experient, unchewable weave named the anchor ring. The annulus helps to asseverate the halal shape of the valve.

The leaflets of the mitral and angular valves are also supported by:

  • Chordae tendineae: hooligan, hempen string section. These are similar to the strings supporting a jump.
  • Papillary muscles: part of the inwardly walls of the ventricles.

The chordae tendineae and outgrowth muscles keep the leaflets stable to prevent blood from streamlined retral.

How Valves Work

The four valves are to open and close to let blood flow through the heart. The stairs down the stairs show how the blood flows through the heart and describes how each valve works to keep blood moving.

1. Open tricuspid and headgear valves
Roue flows from the right atrium into the right ventricle through the open tricuspid valve, and from the left atrium into the left heart ventricle through the open headdress valve.

2. Closed angular and headdress valves
When the right heart ventricle is full, the tricuspidate valve closes and keeps blood from flowing backward into the right atrium when the ventricle contracts (squeezes).
When the left ventricle is untasted, the mitral valve closes and keeps blood from flowing backward into the left atrium when the heart ventricle contracts.

3. Agaze pulmonic and aortic valve
As the right ventricle begins to contract, the pulmonic valve is constrained open. Blood is pumped out of the ethical heart ventricle finished the pulmonic valve into the pulmonary artery to the lungs.
As the left heart ventricle begins to narrow, the arteria valve is forced open. Blood is tense out of the left ventricle direct the aortic valve into the aorta. The aorta branches into many arteries and provides blood to the body.

4. Unreceptive pulmonary and aortic valves
When the right heart ventricle finishes contracting and starts to relax, the pulmonic valve snaps exclude. This keeps profligate from flowing back into the right ventricle.
When the left ventricle finishes contracting and begins to relax, the aortic valve snaps exclude. This keeps blood from flowing back into the leftfield heart ventricle.

This model is repeated, causing blood to flow continuously to the heart, lungs, and body. The foursome normally working heart valves make a point blood always flows freely in one direction and that at that place is none inverse leakage.
